Teachers at Holmgreen Center in San Antonio have launched a campaign to help fund a new teacher at Mission Moroto School, beginning this January. Five teachers are currently contributing $13 per month, and our goal is to grow the group to ten.
Mission Moroto adds a grade each year as its oldest students complete their current grade and move on. Supporting a teacher in Africa is a meaningful way for Texas educators to help expand students’ learning opportunities.
At Holmgreen Center, we work with students with a wide range of learning and behavioral needs. Many of our teachers also have children with special needs. We understand the importance of meeting each student where they are, adapting instruction to support individual learners, and helping students grow.
